Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishna Gurur Devo Maheshwara

Gurur Saakshaat Param Brahma Tasmai Shree Guruve Namah

Spiritual Master is none other than the Creator,Lord Brahma;

Spiritual Master is none other than Lord Vishnu,the Preserver

Spiritual Master is Lord Shankar,the Destroyer;

He is the Supreme Lord Himself,

To such Guru I offer my salutations.



Vasudevata Deva Kausacharamdarnam

Devakiparmanandam Krusnav Vanda Jagatgurum

I offer my salutation to Lord Krishna;

Spiritual Master of Universe, Son of ……(Vasudev),

One who put an end of…..(Kansa and Demons);

One who is giver and

giving Eternal Joy to …….(Devaki).




Sarvatra Sukinam Santu Sarva Santu Niramaya

Sarva Bhadrani Pasayantu Ma Kashadi Dukabhagbhavat

Entirely there may be Happiness;

Entirely there may be Healthiness;

Entirely there may be Prosperity;

May nowhere there be Sadness



Agananatimiradhasaya Gyanjanashalakaya

Chhashurunmilitma Yana Tasyamy Shriguruva Namah

Giver of the Vision to the Blind-sight of

Darkness and Ignorance,

By the stick of Colerain (kajal),

I offer my salutation to that master.



Vidya Nam Narasya Rupamadhikam Prachana Gupta

Dhanam Vidya Bhogakari Yashsukhakari Vidya Gurulaa Guruam

Knowledge is form of man and a secret Wealth

Knowledge gives Enjoyment, Fame and Happiness

I offer salutations to holy goddess Saraswati

By her Privilege one always obtains Scholarship.



Ya Kundaydytusharaharadhyavala Ya Shubharavashatavruta

Ya Vinavaradayamayatakara Ya Shavatapadhashana

Ya Brahmayatashakaraprabhrutibhidavaa Sada Vandita Sa Ma

Patu Sarasvati Bhagavati Nishasha Jadayapaha

One who is like a Flower, Moon and necklace of Pearl;

One who is dressed in white Clothes,

One whose hand is decorated with excellent Flute;

One who is seated on white Lotus,

One who is worshipped by

Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Shankar, and all gods;

That goddess Saraswati may Protect

and Entirely remove Sluggishness.



Om Sha Naa Vavutu; Sha Nau Bhunaktu Sha Veeryam Karavaa Vahai

Tejasvi Naa Vadheetamastu;

Ma Avid Vishaa Vahai Om Shaanti Shaanti Shaanti

May the Lord Protect us both (teacher and taught) together;

May he Nourish and Govern us together,

May we acquire together vigor collectively

for the good of the Humanity ;

May our learning be Luminous, Effulgent & Purposeful,

May we never hate one another;

May there be peace peace peace.



Om Asato Maa Sadgamaya Tamaso Maa Jyotir Gamaya

Mritya Maa Amrit Gamaya Om Shaanti Shaanti Shaanti

O Lord please lead me from unreal to the reality;

Lead me from Darkness (of ignorance) to Light (of knowledge),

Lead me from death to immortality;

May there be peace to all being.



Om Bhur Buvaha Suvaha Thath Savithur Varenyam

Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiya Yonaha Prachodayath

We contemplate the supreme glory

of light illuminating (sun);

The three world;

gross (earth), subtle (space) and causal (heaven),

I am that vivifying power, love, radiant illumination;

And divine grace of universal intelligence,

We pray for the divine light to illumine our minds.



Karmanye Vadhika Raste Maa Faleshu Kadashan

Ma Karma Fal Heturbhuh, Ma Te Sangotsva Karmani

You have a right to “karma” (action)

but never to any fruits thereof;

You should never ne motivated by the result of action,

nor should be any attachment

in not doing your prescribed activities.



On Poorna Madah Poorna Midam Poornaat Poorna Mudachayate

Poornasya Poorna Maadaaya Poorna Mevaa Vashishyate

Om Shaanti Shaanti Shaanti

That is perfect; this is perfect;

What comes from such perfection truly is perfect,

What remains after perfection from perfection is yet perfect;

May there be peace peace peace.



Mukam Karoti Vachalam Pangum Langhayate Girim

Yat-Kripa Tam Aham Vande Shri Gurum Dina Taranam

I offer my respectful obeisance unto my spiritual master,

The deliverer of the fallen souls,

His mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speakers;

And enables the lame to cross mountain.
